Teacher for Homeschooling

We are looking for a guide/ mentor for our two kids who are being educated at home. The guide is envisioned as a person who will remind the children the core values of our family (kindness, cleanliness, creative thinking etc.) Previous teaching experience is not mandatory however the guide must have a clear vision on education and understand our philosophy very well. Timing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. During the day children will spend time doing life skill activities, spending the day as a normal self dependent individual where in they would cook and clean and do household chores of their own such as laundry, arranging their room cooking/ preparing food, eating, and tidying up around that. Children usually take longer in these activities (so we expect the guide to have patience and be able to verbally guide them through the process as against assisting them with the process) if they are given time they will be able to do it fully independently in time. This is the independence we are looking to foster through the guide's involvement. Literacy and Numeracy can be done as much as the children enjoy it, and must be done as part of real life activities such as writing the date, making shopping lists, etc. An integral part of the process would be to develop sensitivity towards time, days of the week, month of the year etc. This will link directly to growing thier own food which is going to be an important part of the pedagogy. It doesn't have to be academic intensive or rigorous academically. We are looking to foster a love for learning in the children therefore we don't want them to be forced to do anything however the guide must incorporate learning throughout the day by talking about concepts taking the time to explain things, break things down in a way that is easy to understand. The guide must have very clear concepts in order to help children understand the world around them. Our purpose behind educating our children at home is to foster creativity and a love for learning. The guide must be able to cultivate a thinking approach, a problem solving approach and encourage creativity and out of box thinking however at the same time we need to instill values of patience and kindness and hard work so the guide must have all of these qualities within them and be able to remind the children of how to practice these. The guide should be able to instill respect for these values in daily life.
We expect the guide to help the children plan the day instead of making decisions for them. The purpose is to develop a sense of ownership, leadership and a sense of agency. Everything needs to take time and that's acceptable and encouraged instead of packing the schedule with too many things the day will be predictable and slow, and we value repetition and mastery as well as decision making. All these are values that can be inculcated through reminders and gentle encouragement. One of the core values of our family are sustainability and frugality we want our children to understand the importance of caring for the planet and the value of money both of these together can help build character and ensure a meaningful life ahead. We are looking to inspire our children and not feed them with information that is not useful. We would like to arrange trials to see if the teacher / guide is able to understand and implement our vision since it is not a conventional teacher student classroom setup.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
