Teacher for Toddler Classroom (with 45hrs completed)

Job Description

We are looking for caring and compassionate early childhood teachers to join our team and work in a classroom of no more than 11 children.

The teacher will be responsible for creating lessons for the week, as well as be responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care and hygiene of the children. Our teachers are required to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can play and learn.

Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
• Plan and implements lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Assist with feeding children their snacks and meals.
• Coordinate naptime.
• Changing diaper.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, and staff.

Required Skills and Experience:

EXPERIENCE IN CHILD CARE PREFERRED - MUST HAVE COMPLETED 45 HOURS OF DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN & FAMILIES APPROVED TRAINING, AND SUBSEQUENTLY HAVE PASSED THE COMPETENCY EXAM.

Additional Required Skills and Experience

• Must have a pleasant/friendly demeanor and love what they do.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of child safety, and potential emergency situations.
• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position.
• Highly professional and dependable.
• Clean criminal background and level II background check (local and federal).
• 2- years proven experience in the childcare industry (preferred).
• First Aid Card (preferred).
• CPR (preferred).

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly or Twice monthly
