Duties:
Come join our dynamic team at the Enfield Child Development Center (ECDC). We are looking for a compassionate, energetic individual to teach in one of our classrooms. We are a NAEYC Accredited Center, open year round.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Child Care & Supervision: Provide attentive, compassionate care for children (ages [insert age range]) by ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Educational Activities: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Building Relationships: Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and well-being.
- Creative Play & Exploration: Encourage children’s natural curiosity through creative play, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Behavioral Guidance: Provide gentle guidance and discipline using positive reinforcement techniques to help children develop respect, patience, and empathy.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment; follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and team meetings to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Early Childhood or closely related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children , particularly in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, creativity, and the ability to work well in a team.
