Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design & Lesson Planning
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Akanskah’s educational philosophy.
- Use a variety of teaching methods (stories, songs, hands-on activities, free play, structured games) to engage children.
- Integrate creative, sensory, and motor-skill activities into daily teaching.
- Classroom Management & Environment
- Maintain a cheerful, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Organize the classroom to support learning zones (reading area, play corner, art station).
- Establish classroom routines and support children in self-help skills (dressing, hygiene, clean-up).
- Child Development & Assessment
- Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child (cognitive, language, social, emotional).
- Maintain records (portfolios, observation notes) to track growth and development.
- Identify children who may need additional support and collaborate with the coordinator or special educators, if needed.
- Parent & Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s progress, behavior, and needs.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings, share developmental reports, and guide parents on how to support learning at home.
- Foster partnerships between school and families to support child development.
- Safety, Health & Well-being
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Supervise nap times, snack breaks, and outdoor play.
- Promote good hygiene, nutrition, and healthy habits among pre-primary children.
- Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with other early years educators, teaching assistants, and the pre-primary leadership team.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare and maintain classroom resources, teaching materials, and supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
- Complete required administrative paperwork, reports, and documentation as per school policy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field. (Or relevant diploma/certification.)
- Experience: Previous experience working with preschool or early years children is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development, pre-primary pedagogy, and play-based learning. Knowledge of development milestones for ages 3–6. Resilient Educator+1

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
