Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher (Grades 7–8) to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching middle years science, with the ability to engage students in inquiry-based learning and inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for scientific discovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach core science subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology concepts appropriate for Grades 7–8.
• Foster hands-on, inquiry-based learning through experiments, demonstrations, and STEM activities.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of science to real-world situations.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, and practical activities to support effective learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular and interdisciplinary STEM projects.
• Integrate educational technology, lab equipment, and digital tools to enhance science instruction.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organized classroom and laboratory environment.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, health and safety guidelines, and educational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (specialization in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology preferred).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.
• Strong knowledge of science pedagogy and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents.
• Ability to inspire curiosity, experimentation, and a love for scientific learning.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and assessment skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures, educational technology, and modern science teaching tools.
