Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher - English & Social Studies (Grades 6–7) to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching both English language and Social Studies, with the ability to foster communication skills, critical thinking, global awareness, and civic responsibility among middle years learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English and Social Studies aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach core English skills including reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and comprehension.
• Develop students’ understanding of history, geography, culture, and civic concepts in Social Studies.
• Use project-based learning, debates, and interactive activities to encourage independent thinking and problem-solving.
• Integrate literature, current events, and global perspectives to make learning meaningful and relevant.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular and interdisciplinary projects.
• Incorporate educational technology and interactive tools to enrich classroom instruction.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment while ensuring discipline and respect for diversity.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience at the middle school level (Grades 6–8).
• Strong knowledge of English pedagogy and Social Studies curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents.
• Ability to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
• Strong organizational, classroom management, and assessment skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology and innovative teaching methods.
