The Faculty of Engineering has an international reputation for teaching and research and is one of the largest engineering faculties in the UK. Across our eight discipline-based departments, we have excellent partnerships across a variety of industries as well as public, the 3rd sector, and global research agencies, which allow us to deliver an outstanding student experience and programmes that are industrially relevant and research-lead.
The opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering is seeking to appoint a teaching professional to support the delivery of our fundamental mathematics content for our undergraduate University of Strathclyde (Bahrain) programmes, currently comprising Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. As part of a faculty-wide team, this post will focus on the teaching delivery of fundamental and applied mathematics to support our students as they develop their engineering skillset. The successful candidate for this role will have the expertise to deliver in this area, and ideally support more engineering-focused content too, as required. A student-centred approach is key to our ethos at Strathclyde and, therefore, experience in supporting students’ learning through active delivery is desirable, alongside experience of providing pastoral support to our students.
