Team Accountant

Weitzman is one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate owners and third-party service providers in Texas. Weitzman offers a full range of services including general brokerage, property management, asset management, and development services. We operate exclusively in Texas’ major markets: Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.

Weitzman is seeking a Team Accountant to join our Dallas office located in the Uptown area. In this role, you will learn to apply fundamental accounting concepts and hone your skills while working on some of the most well-known retail properties in Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Full general ledger reporting through financial statement preparation and review
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, management fees and lender escrow accounts
• Bank statement reconciliations
• Review of accounts payable and receivables for portfolio including cash management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate in a high-volume environment
• Accrual basis accounting experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate and build positive rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as outside the company
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Accounting or Finance Degree preferred
• Minimum 12 hours of accounting required
