Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Lead to manage our Evaluation & Management (E/M), Inpatient (IP), and Observation medical coding team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep domain expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of coding accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of medical coders specializing in E/M, IP, and Observation coding.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with industry standards and payer-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high performance.
Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve coding-related issues and improve workflows.
Monitor productivity and quality metrics, and report performance to senior management.
Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in E/M, Inpatient, and Observation coding.
Certified coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) from AAPC or AHIMA.
Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, and team management skills.
