Team Lead: Academics for CUET- UG

Location: edexe learning, IInd Floor, R&R Avenue. Jail Road Puthiyara, Kozhikode, Kerala 673004.

Department: Academic Operations.

Reporting to: Academic Coordinator/Head of Department

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are hiring a creative and innovative enthusiastic Team Lead: Academics who can work with a great team who are contributing their best in the education sector. The duties of the Team Lead: Academics for CUET- UG include supervising classroom activities& preparing study materials. The position's goals are to uphold academic integrity and provide excellent instruction. This role is essential for providing specialised guidance in a variety of disciplines examined in the CUET- UG, as well as for mentoring students and supporting curriculum development along with the relentless communication with the faculties and the effective coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Management and Development of Curriculum:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of study guides and course materials for CUET- UG preparation.
  • Work together with academic coordinators and teachers to create subject-specific materials that complement the CUET- UG syllabus and test formats.
  • To make sure students are well-prepared, create practice questions, sample test papers, and mock tests.

2.Academic Administration

  • Keep precise records of each teacher’s attendance, grades, and academic advancement.
  • To ensure the seamless operation of the courses and to simplify academic activities, collaborate with academic heads and other faculty members.
  • Help arrange study groups, mock exams, and classes. Ensure that faculties are contacted on schedule.

3.Research & Content Updates

  • Stay updated with the latest changes in the CUET- UG syllabus, exam patterns, and related notifications from relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct research on the latest academic trends, including emerging topics and new publications, to integrate them into the course material.
  • Regularly review and update teaching methodologies and content to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.

4.Evaluation & Feedback

  • Create and execute assessment tools (quizzes, mock exams, etc.) to gauge students' comprehension of different subjects.
  • Give feedback to teachers that highlights their areas of strength and growth.
  • Assist in keeping track of teachers’ performance and offer suggestions for enhancing instructional strategies.

5.Faculty Communication

  • Continuous Communication with the faculties regarding academic matters, students’ performance
  • Scheduling meetings with the faculties
  • Assigning and coordinating the duties and responsibilities of faculties
  • Seeking suggestions from the faculties regarding the material preparation
  • Communicating with faculty to accommodate their preferences and constraints while maintaining institutional requirements.

6.Schedule Management

  • Balancing faculty availability with course requirements, and student needs.
  • Collecting and tracking faculty availability to ensure that course assignments align with their schedules.
  • Adjusting schedules as needed due to unforeseen changes, such as faculty absences or changes, or student demand
  • Collaborating with other academic and administrative departments to align schedules, especially for multi-disciplinary programs or shared facilities.
  • Informing students and faculty promptly about any changes to avoid confusion or disruptions.
  • Coordinating the timing of exams, ensuring they do not overlap and are convenient for both students and faculties.
  • Regularly updating students, faculty, and administration on scheduling changes, policies, or deadlines.
  • Managing and updating scheduling software and tools used to create and distribute class timetables.
  • Training staff and faculty on the use of these tools when necessary

8.Material Management:

  • Ensuring the timely purchase of textbooks, course materials, software, and other academic resources necessary for courses and programs
  • Coordinating the distribution of textbooks, teaching aids, and other learning resources to faculty, staff, and students, making sure they are available when needed.
  • Ensuring timely submission of materials by faculties.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of materials and resources
  • managing access to digital resources, online databases, and e-learning materials, ensuring that they are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Maintaining records of purchases, usage, and the status of materials to ensure transparency and accountability.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Post Graduation in relevant discipline
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in academic roles
  • Strong knowledge of CUET- UG syllabus, exam pattern, and evaluation methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other educational software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
