Team Lead | Weekend Shift (Friday - Sunday)

The Team Lead will be responsible for assisting the Departments Supervisor with continuous workflow and ensuring employees are performing work safely and accurately. The Team Lead assists in training new and existing employees in job duties and coaches team members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that drive results. They will aid in resolving conflict within the team and proactively respond before it escalates.

Schedule: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6AM - 6PM

Pay: $21.25/hr.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Delegates tasks and sets deadlines for team goals.
  • Creates a positive team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Trains team members on job duties, safety, company policies and procedures.
  • Directs product flow of incoming or outgoing loads to best utilize warehouse space and customer needs.
  • Oversees that the daily operations run smoothly and assists team with questions, issues, or problems, monitoring for overall efficiency of department.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and resolve problems that could delay the timely movement of ffreight, including advising customer service of carrier issues from pick-up and
    deliveries.
  • Reviews paperwork is completed per department requirements.
  • Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
  • Successfully passes Novo training and follows all safety requirements established.
  • Participates in the safety team leadership.
  • Performs warehouse activities to include receiving, stocking, pulling, banding/staging, and loading.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements
  • Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
  • Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior training or supervisory experience.
  • Experience operating a power industrial equipment.
  • Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.
  • Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 100%: Stands, handle or feel, squeezing or grasping
  • 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception
  • 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate equipment
  • 10%: Work bent at the waist, climbing, bending, twisting
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Lift 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
