Team Leader - Catering Service

The Catering Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily catering operations, ensuring high-quality service, coordinating staff, and delivering excellent guest experiences. This role involves managing team performance, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth execution of events and catering functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision & Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate catering staff to maintain high service standards
  • Assign duties and monitor team performance during shifts and events
  • Ensure proper grooming, hygiene, and professionalism of staff

2. Event Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing catering events (corporate functions, weddings, banquets, etc.)
  • Coordinate with kitchen, service staff, and other departments for smooth operations
  • Oversee event setup, service flow, and breakdown

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent guest experience and satisfaction
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain strong client relationships during events

4. Operational Management

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service timing
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for events

5. Administrative Duties

  • Assist with scheduling staff shifts
  • Maintain reports on event performance, staff attendance, and issues
  • Support cost control and efficient resource use

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in catering, banqueting, or food & beverage service
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required

Pay: QAR2,200.00 - QAR2,800.00 per month

Experience:

  • catering: 3 years (Preferred)
