Job Summary

Amideast is recruiting a Team Leader for a potential 8-month project to research, analyze and provide evidence-based guidance, recommendations, and tools for disability inclusion in a non-profit organization in Egypt. The Team Leader is expected to:

  • Provide overall technical leadership for project.
  • Coordinate with teams conducting research, collecting data, creating M&E framework, designing capacity building training.
  • Lead the organizational analysis of HR policies, recruitment, workplace accommodation systems, internal communication, budgeting processes, and compliance with CRPD, Law 10/2018, UN Disability Inclusion Strategy, and organization strategy.
  • Lead the program cycle inclusion review, including templates, rubrics, partner selection, contracting, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Set the methodology and ensure ethical, participatory, rights-based research design.
  • Participate in high-level meetings, alignment sessions, and validation workshops with client leadership and staff.
  • Draft deliverables including inception report and workplan, assessment report, inclusion strategy, and action plans.
  • Oversee risk management, safeguarding, ethical participation, and accessibility standards.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred, minimum of a master's) in disability studies, public policy or related disciplines.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record in conducting disability and inclusion analyses and developing and implementing disability mainstreaming strategies, preferably within development organizations or grant-making foundations in Egypt.
  • Strong understanding of Disability and Inclusion, mainstreaming approaches and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the UN CRPD, Egypt’s disability policies, and other relevant international and national frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of social model of disability, rights-based approach
  • Experience in conducting capacity-building and training programs.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Egypt for field assignments.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience in delivering training and capacity-building sessions.
