Key Accountabilities
To execute / assist in periodic maintenance of equipment installed on dredgers.
Planning availability of spares and services required for the routines, well in advance.
Attend breakdowns and rectify them at the minimum possible time.
To ensure all standby subassemblies to be in overhauled condition.
To carry out quality check for received spares in store. Follow all standard SOP’s for inward and outward of materials from store
Assist superintendent for production planning, execution planning, production data monitoring, appraisal and control. Execute all dredging tasks efficiently and safely through effective time management, planning, process efficiency and product/service quality.
Compliances with port and site safety norms, Project risk assessment and safe execution, Emergency Preparedness & drills, Safety MIS
Progress appraisal on Daily & Weekly production and consumption data, Monthly MIS reports, SAP related tasks, Raising Purchase requisition, SES creations and invoices booking.
Bunkers and fresh water supplies to the vessel with optimum use of resources and minimum downtime.
Vessel movements planning, crew management and liasoning with Shipping Agents and other external agencies for smooth execution of underlined tasks.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(degree, training, or certification required)
Graduate or Engineering Diploma/Degree or B. Tech/ B.E or Minimum Second Mate COC Holder
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
(no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)
Minimum 04-06 years of experience in marine field operation preferably dredging field
Or
Minimum 04-06 years of sailing experience onboard dredgers in capacity of Operator or watchkeeping officer.
