Position Summary
The Tear-down Technician is responsible for testing, grading, and tearing down Chromebooks into individual components.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Troubleshoot technical issues and log malfunctioning components

Complete data entry of logs, paperwork and forms

Interpret written instructions and follow detailed verbal instructions

Utilize testing machines and a variety of hand tools with a high level of finger dexterity

Work effectively using low-power magnification to see details in close range

Meet production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards

Perform basic mathematical calculations

Multi-task and work in a flexible, changing environment with multiple competing deadlines

Effectively communicate (verbal and written) and maintain good relationship with co-workers

Accurately perform job duties with minimal supervision

Learn multiple tasks, cross train, and perform job functions in other departments as needed

Perform warehouse duties when necessary including: moving boxes up to 70 lbs., using a pallet jack, trash duties, cardboard compactor, recycling scrap parts, cycle counting inventory
Minimum Qualifications

Good knowledge of basic math

Near vision—the ability to see details at close range

Finger dexterity—the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects

Documentation/Recording—the ability to record and maintain relevant information
