Tech Operations & IT Support Engineer


Job Description


We are seeking a Tech Operations & IT Support Engineer to join our team.

This role blends application operations (OP) responsibilities with day-to-day IT support. You will manage deployment tickets, perform routine operations tasks, handle basic Kubernetes activities, and support office IT functions such as network setup and asset management.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with the group’s IT governance and asset auditing teams.


Responsibilities


Tech Operations

  • Handle deployment tickets across multiple environments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Perform basic Kubernetes operations (checking pods, reviewing logs, restarts, YAML updates as instructed).
  • Assist in application rollouts and post-deployment verification following established procedures.
  • Monitor system health, report irregularities, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Support daily DevOps and operations activities under senior engineers’ guidance.


IT Support

  • Provide office IT support including workstation setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support office network configuration (LAN, Wi-Fi, printers, and basic switch/router tasks).
  • Manage and maintain company IT assets: laptops, monitors, peripherals, and inventory records.
  • Coordinate with the group’s IT governance team for asset audits and compliance checks.
  • Document and track all equipment, user allocations, and related IT activities.


Requirements

  • Basic Linux command-line knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, logs, services).
  • Basic understanding of networking (IP, subnet, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, printers).
  • Experience with IT support tasks such as device setup, OS installation, and software configuration.
  • Ability to follow deployment workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and accountability in daily operations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in IT support, helpdesk, NOC, or junior operations roles.
  • Basic scripting skills (Shell/Python).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to work effectively in a ticket-driven environment and multitask.
