Tech Repair and Sales Specialist

POSITION DETAILS

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join us at an experienced or entry level, go through our paid training program, if needed, and develop expertise in servicing a wide variety of consumer electronics in a dynamic work environment. We are looking for motivated, hard-working individuals who wish to assist our customers by diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing devices while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

As a Tech Repair & Sales Specialist you will focus on creating the best possible experience for our customers on the phone, electronically and in-person. You will be responsible for guiding the customer through the entire uBreakiFix experience from start to finish and after. You will use a friendly, professional demeanor to build customer confidence and exceed expectations by making the customer experience natural, engaging and reassuring. All applicants should be willing to utilize proven techniques to increase their merchandise and service sales, while enhancing their tech and repair knowledge through continued training and hands-on experience. You will build and maintain relationships with customers to help guide them to the right products and services that best fit their needs. You will also be responsible for performing other roles within the store too, whether it’s maintaining displays and store cleanliness or assisting team members with inventory management. We base your levels of success on your team and personal productivity as well as the location's overall performance.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explain complex technical issues to customers in a non-technical, simple to understand manner.
  • Provide repair and replacement estimates to customers.
  • Repair and service customer electronics, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely resolutions.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Utilize the point of sale system to process payments, maintain an accurate record of customer information and give real-time status updates for each repair.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the store location.
  • Describe and sell merchandise and services while understanding and explaining their use, operation, and care to customers.
  • Assists with and participates in marketing efforts to solicit new business, including but not limited to outbound calling, community involvement and social media marketing.
  • Use store displays and interactive devices effectively to enhance the customer experience and sales.
  • Meets or exceeds key performance objectives, including sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Listen and build relationships with customers to find the right products and services for their lifestyle.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of latest products and services. Remain current on industry and competition trends, pricing plans and promotions.

  • A passing background check (criminal, driving and drug test)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years experience in a retail environment and the ability to meet team goals
  • 1-2 years customer service experience working with hardware and software
  • Soldering preferred
