Job Summary

As a Technical Content Developer, you will collaborate closely with the Curriculum Manager to analyze, plan, design, and develop innovative technical training programs. You will use modern instructional design practices, including AI-powered content development tools, to create engaging, learner-centric courses. Success in this role requires creativity, technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to deliver impactful training solutions efficiently and within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development and Innovation
  • Design and develop technical training content for multiple modalities (self-paced, instructor-led micro-learning, video, and on-demand).
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., generative content platforms, adaptive learning engines, automated assessment generators) to accelerate content creation, enhance personalization, and improve learner engagement.
  • Create design documents, storyboards, evaluations, lab guides, job aids, and user guides.
  • adult learning theories and data-driven strategies to ensure measurable performance improvement.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Consult with stakeholders to define learner requirements and align training objectives with business needs.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to simplify complex technical concepts and present them in visually appealing formats.
  • Collaborate actively with peers on projects, sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Partner with editorial, graphics, and production teams to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Use remote collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Zoom) to communicate, share files, co-edit documents, and manage project workflows efficiently across distributed teams.
Project Management and Delivery
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet aggressive timelines and key milestones.
  • Implement efficient workflows, leveraging automation and AI to streamline development and review processes.
  • Anticipate and resolve project roadblocks, escalating issues when necessary to maintain momentum.
Continuous Improvement
  • Use data and learner feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Explore and recommend emerging learning technologies and strategies to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Coach and mentor junior developers in the use of modern tools and instructional design methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technical training development.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Proven experience using AI tools for training content creation (e.g., generative AI, adaptive learning platforms).
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise storage, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), databases, and operating systems (UNIX, Windows).
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with training platforms like Mindtickle, edX, and NovoEd is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience writing cohesive training content, including narration scripts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, resolve hurdles, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Hands-on knowledge of storage or networking infrastructure.
