Description

About Us
Jennifer Lynn Interior Design (JLID) is a boutique, full-service studio known for livable luxury and resort-inspired interiors. We design highly detailed kitchens, baths, and whole-home environments for busy clients who value craftsmanship, clarity, and a white-glove experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drafting & Documentation
    • Produce accurate floor plans, RCPs/lighting plans, elevations, sections, details, and millwork drawings suitable for permit, bid, and fabrication.
    • Create cabinet shop drawings and review vendor/submittal drawings; mark up revisions; maintain version control.
    • Build FF&E schedules (plumbing, lighting, hardware, finishes) and organize spec sheets/spec books.
  • Kitchen & Bath
    • Develop technical details for kitchens, baths, laundry/mudrooms, and built-ins (clearances, codes, appliance integration, waterproofing notes).
    • Coordinate with fabricators on stone slab layouts, edge profiles, and tile patterns.
  • Project Coordination
    • Conduct field measurements and site verification; flag conflicts and propose solutions.
    • Liaise with GCs, subs, cabinet makers, and vendors; respond to RFIs and track action items.
    • Prepare presentation-ready PDF sets and redlines for internal/external reviews.
  • Quality & Process
    • Keep drawing standards, layers, and naming conventions consistent with JLID templates.
    • Update project logs, issue sheets, and drawing registers; help streamline studio workflows.
Skills & Tools You’ll Use

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required). Bonus: Revit, Chief Architect, SketchUp/Layout
  • Adobe InDesign/Photoshop for presentation boards and spec books.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction, cabinetry, MEP coordination, and finish schedules.
  • Exceptional organization, file management, and attention to detail (you love clean line weights and correct callouts).
