Technical Designer

We are an apparel industry leader, offering women wardrobe solutions for their wear-to-work and special occasion dressing needs! We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Designer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with design to create technical development packages with garment specs, technical sketches, and garment construction.
• Prepare sample for fitting sessions. Measuring and analyzing samples.
• Conduct fitting sessions on live models and form on the assigned product category. Offering resolution and knowledge on improving the fit and balance of the garment.
• Responsible for the execution of fit comments through photos, sketches and pattern corrections for overseas vendors
• Strong knowledge of patterns, fitting, Grading and garment construction.
• Must have experience with cut and sew knits, woven, tops, bottoms, dresses, and some knowledge of sweaters will be helpful.
• Communicate with overseas vendors providing clear direction on Approval status from Prototype into final bulk production
• Excellent visual / written / verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Managing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Qualifications should be a BA or BS in Technical design / fashion design/ Patternmaking or 5+ years work experience.
• Proficient on Microsoft office, Excel and Adobe Illustrator
