Technical Director

FOR EPC OIL & GAS COMPANY IN SYRIA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all engineering and technical operations across EPC projects.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design, engineering reviews, and technical studies to ensure alignment with project and client requirements.
• Ensure all technical activities comply with international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance project efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize project design, materials, and construction methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with Project Directors, Construction, Procurement, and HSE teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Evaluate and approve technical proposals, designs, and deliverables from consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement engineering governance systems, policies, and performance metrics.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers and discipline leads, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Represent the company in technical meetings, client presentations, and industry forums.
• Minimum 10 years of senior technical leadership experience within the EPC Oil & Gas sector, preferably in GCC or Europe.
• Strong knowledge of EPC project execution, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
• Deep understanding of international standards (API, ASME, ISO, BS, EN, etc.).
• Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on mega projects.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and client interface capabilities.
• Must be willing to relocate to Syria.
