Technical Draftsman / Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

Bugree Steel & Aluminium Contracting is seeking a skilled Technical Draftsman / Estimation Engineer with experience in aluminium, glass, façade, and steel works. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, Structural calculations, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, sectional details, and as-built drawings.
• Develop drawings for aluminium doors and windows, curtain walls, façades, ACP cladding, glass works, pergolas, louvers, handrails, gates, and structural steel works.
• Review architectural, structural, and consultant drawings to identify project requirements.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, material schedules, cutting lists, and glass schedules.
• Calculate aluminium profiles, glass, accessories, steel, labour, fabrication, installation, and transportation costs.
• Prepare competitive quotations and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Obtain and compare prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, project engineers, production teams, and site supervisors.
• Revise drawings and quotations according to consultant comments and project variations.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, quotations, approvals, and project documents.
• Assist the procurement and project teams with material specifications and technical requirements.
• Conduct site visits and take measurements whenever required.
• Ensure all drawings and estimates comply with project specifications, approved systems, and UAE standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in aluminium, glass, façade, or steel contracting.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity take-off procedures.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of aluminium systems, glass specifications, accessories, steel sections, and fabrication processes.
• Strong numerical, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and meet submission deadlines.
• Knowledge of 3D design or estimation software will be an advantage.
• UAE experience and a valid UAE driving licence will be preferred.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
