TECHNICAL ENGINEER (Civil)

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Technical Engineer who has a strong background in the Civil Construction field from the UAE. Experience must be with construction projects dealing with the commercial sector such as Shopping Malls, Branded Outlets, Office Buildings, High-Rise Buildings, and Low-Rise Business/Commercial Towers —and NOT Villas or Residential Houses. The ideal candidate must be proficient in working independently and capable enough to be a Leader soon.

What We Are Looking For in a Candidate for this Role:

• Experience: 5–10 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in technical design/engineering roles.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's in Structures/Geotech preferred).
• Type of Construction: Must have prior experience working on Mega Commercial Projects (BQ > AED 200 Million) such as High-Rise Towers, Shopping Malls, Mixed-Use Developments, Hotels, or Business Centers with deep basements, challenging soils, or high seismic zones.
• Software Proficiency (Role-Specific):
• SAP2000 or ETABS (structural analysis and design verification)
• SAFE (foundation design and slab analysis)
• AutoCAD and Revit (review and markups)
• Primavera P6 (aligning technical deliverables with master schedule)
• MS Excel (structural calculations, quantity take-offs, cost-benefit analysis)
• Bluebeam Revu (PDF markup and collaboration)
• Additional Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical report-writing, and ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review consultant's structural and civil design drawings, calculations, and specifications for constructability.

· Prepare and submit method statements for critical activities (deep excavation, shoring, mass concrete, post-tensioning, waterproofing).

· Prepare material submittals (MIRs) including concrete mix designs, rebar, structural steel, waterproofing, and coatings.

· Conduct structural analysis using SAP2000, ETABS, or SAFE for design verification and value engineering.

· Coordinate with geotechnical engineers for soil investigation, pile load testing, and foundation verification.

· Provide technical solutions to site teams for design discrepancies and field changes.

· Respond to consultant RFIs with detailed technical justifications and calculations.

· Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and presentation materials.

· Ensure all technical submittals comply with UAE building codes and authority regulations.

· Support commercial team in preparation of variation claims with engineering substantiation.

Pay: From AED9,000.00 per month
