Job Title: Technical Manager
Full Time Remote
We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead our Development and QA teams, driving technical execution, team performance, and continuous improvement across our software engineering functions. This role is pivotal in enabling delivery excellence by optimising team capabilities, managing engineering tools and AI support systems, and ensuring high standards in software quality.
You will directly manage the QA function, collaborate closely with the CTO and Tech Leads in the UK, and play a central role in our HR lifecycle processes, including recruitment, performance reviews, and talent development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the QA team ensuring the highest standards in test strategy, test coverage, and quality assurance across all projects
- Oversee utilisation, tooling, and performance reporting for engineering and QA functions
- Partner with Tech Leads to stay informed on technical decisions, ensuring alignment between architecture, implementation, and best practices, while holding teams accountable for delivering solutions as designed.
- Champion engineering standards and culture of excellence within a fast-paced delivery environment
- Contribute to HR activities: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development
- Analyse data on team performance, tool utilisation, and AI agent effectiveness; identify improvement opportunities
- Drive the adoption and impact assessment of AI-based tools across technical teams
- Monitor, analyse, and report on technical team KPIs such as resource utilisation, delivery quality, QA efficiency, tool adoption, and AI performance; provide actionable insights to leadership to guide operational decisions

- Direct experience working with UK or US-based clients is highly preferred
- Solid knowledge of software engineering practices, CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage productivity tools and performance reporting frameworks
- Strong grasp of quality metrics, test design, and automation frameworks
- Experience working across functions and collaborating with senior technology stakeholders
- Familiarity with HR processes related to technical talent: hiring, mentoring, performance reviews
- Experience integrating or assessing AI tools within development workflows is a plus
