⚡ Hiring: Technical Manager – Renewable Energy Microgrids (PV/Wind/BESS)

📍 Umluj, Saudi Arabia

Lead the technical function for renewable-powered microgrids, ensuring optimal design, operation, and lifecycle performance of hybrid systems. Provide engineering expertise, troubleshooting, and consultancy to maximize efficiency, sustainability, and reliability across power and water assets.

What you’ll do:

• Provide engineering support and technical consultancy for renewable-powered microgrids and hybrid systems (PV, wind, BESS, and thermal backup).
• Verify plant data, design specifications, and standards for major equipment installed by EPC contractors.
• Support project development with technical inputs on scope of work, equipment specifications, and performance requirements.
• Troubleshoot operating problems, analyze system upsets, and recommend preventive measures.
• Conduct residual life assessments (RLA) for major equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate performance of materials and equipment for suitability in renewable energy and desalination applications.
• Lead applied studies in process optimization, root cause investigations, and environmental impact assessments.
• Provide technical input during bid evaluations, project modifications, and feasibility studies.
• Support O&M teams in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental management systems.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field required; Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 12–16 years of experience in operations & maintenance of power generation projects, ideally with microgrid or hybrid renewable integration.
• Strong background in PV, wind, BESS, and thermal plant systems, including design reviews, technical evaluations, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for renewable and hybrid systems.
• Proficiency in process calculations, residual life assessment, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems.
