Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead and manage calibration lab and onsite operations in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The role is responsible for technical integrity, quality compliance, audit readiness, team leadership, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure high-quality, timely, and reliable calibration services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day calibration laboratory operations ensuring timely job execution.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, quality systems, and EHS requirements.
- Review, authorize, and approve calibration methods, job sheets, results, and calibration/test certificates.
- Monitor environmental conditions, equipment handling, and laboratory cleanliness.
- Identify, manage, and close non-conforming work through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and EHS for smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Review customer enquiries, contracts, quotations, and tenders.
- Lead internal, external, and accreditation audits; ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Collaborate with HR on performance management, training needs, and team development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend advanced systems or methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline).
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in calibration and/or testing laboratories.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in a managerial and team leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and laboratory management systems.
- Hands-on experience in audit handling, method development/validation, and technical authorization.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and decision-making capabilities.
