About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical and

engineering function across our steel structure projects — overseeing design coordination,

technical submittals, and code compliance from tender stage through to project close-out. This is

a senior role requiring strong structural steel expertise and a valid Dubai Municipality

certification (G+unlimited and above).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical review and approval of structural designs, shop drawings, and fabrication

drawings for steel structure projects

• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and

international structural steel standards (AISC, BS, Eurocode)

• Review and sign off on design calculations, connection design, and material

specifications

• Act as the technical liaison with consultants, main contractors, and government

authorities (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, civil defense, etc.)

• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and design queries throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide technical support to estimation, procurement, and production teams
• Mentor and guide design engineers and draftsmen within the technical department
• Support tender technical proposals and value engineering initiatives
• Ensure quality and constructability of designs prior to fabrication release

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel design/technical management
• Mandatory: Certified by Dubai Municipality for G+4 and above
• Strong knowledge of structural steel codes (AISC, BS, Eurocode) and connection design
• Proven experience managing technical departments on steel fabrication/EPC projects
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, Tekla, SAP2000, ETABS)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
• UAE experience essential; steel fabrication/contracting background strongly preferred
