Technical Manager – Metal / Aluminum / Stainless Steel Industry

Job Summary

The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing technical operations related to the manufacturing, fabrication, and processing of metal products including aluminum and stainless steel. The role ensures production efficiency, product quality, process optimization, and technical compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Operations

  • Manage technical processes for metal fabrication, machining, welding, and finishing.
  • Ensure proper production methods for aluminum and stainless steel products.
  • Supervise installation, maintenance, and operation of machinery.

2. Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Optimize cutting, forming, welding, and finishing processes.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices.

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing.
  • Resolve technical issues related to materials, fabrication, and finishing.

4. Engineering & Design Support

  • Review technical drawings, CAD designs, and production plans.
  • Support engineering teams in product development and customization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

5. Team Management

  • Lead engineers, technicians, and production staff.
  • Provide technical training and support to team members.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity.

6. Maintenance & Equipment

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery.
  • Ensure proper functioning of CNC machines, cutting tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools.

7. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrial regulations.
  • Promote safe working practices within the plant.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
  • 5–8 years experience in metal fabrication, aluminum, or stainless steel manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, CNC machining, and metal finishing.
