We are looking for a Technical Office Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project schedules, budgets, payment processes, and reporting, while ensuring accurate and timely flow of technical and financial data between the site and head office.
This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in engineering software, and the ability to deliver fast, effective solutions in a challenging project environment.
Key Responsibilities

Project Scheduling: Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. Define Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), perform critical path analysis, allocate resources, and issue weekly/monthly progress reports.

Progress Payments: Manage subcontractor and supplier payment processes by verifying site measurements, checking Bills of Quantities (BOQs), validating unit rate analyses, preparing interim certificates, and supporting final accounts.

Budget & Cost Control: Develop project budgets and detailed cost breakdowns. Prepare quantity take-off (QTO) files, track forecast vs. actual costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

ERP Data Management: Enter, maintain, and monitor project data in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Axapta), including material requests, procurement processes, and budget allocations, ensuring financial accuracy across departments.

Tender & Procurement: Conduct comparative analysis of supplier quotations based on technical compliance, delivery times, and pricing competitiveness. Prepare tender documents, comparative statements, and bid evaluation reports.

Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress and cost reports. Use Power BI / Qlik Sense to build dashboards, visualize KPIs, and provide transparent insights to management.

Claims & Delays: Support claim and extension of time (EOT) processes by identifying delay events, preparing documentation, and coordinating with contracts/PM teams.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (postgraduate certificates in project management, cost engineering, or construction management is a plus).

Minimum 5 years of technical office experience, including budgeting, quantity surveying, and tender preparation.

Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing, preparing, and updating drawings.

Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project for scheduling

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and general proficiency in MS Office.

Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Axapta), particularly in procurement and budget tracking.

Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI / Qlik Sense) for dashboard and reporting development.

Strong command of English, both written and spoken, to prepare technical documents and manage international communication.
