The Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing all technical documentation, coordination, and engineering support across new store openings, renovations, and maintenance projects. The role ensures seamless collaboration with outsourced designers, consultants, and contractors, guaranteeing that all deliverables meet Lychee standards, comply with health and safety regulations, and adhere to approved project schedules. By overseeing the quality and accuracy of technical outputs, the Technical Office Engineer plays a key role in maintaining design integrity, project efficiency, and consistent execution across the retail portfolio.

Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.


What will you be doing?

  • Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure compliance with Lychee standards, industry best practices, and all applicable safety codes.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with outsourced designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), shop drawings, and material submittals for accuracy and technical alignment.
  • Follow up on technical approvals, material procurement, and project timelines to support smooth project execution.
  • Provide technical solutions for design challenges and site-related issues, supporting the Retail Engineering Manager in decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring all files, drawings, and reports are updated and accessible.
  • Prepare and present clear progress reports for internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate project status and requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments—such as Operations, Procurement, and Maintenance—to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Support quality control by conducting technical reviews, evaluating workmanship, and ensuring contractor adherence to standards.
  • Assist in developing and updating technical guidelines, templates, and procedures to improve consistency across retail engineering projects


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fit-out, retail, or F&B projects; preferably, healthy food or F&B retail projects
  • Knowledge of Egyptian fire fighting standards, food safety, and construction codes.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawings
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
