Application Question(s):

  • Scenario-Based Ethics

A vendor offers a personal gift in exchange for selecting their quote. What should you do?

  • You receive an RFP that specifies an electrical motor model that’s obsolete. How would you identify a replacement and document compliance?
  • You’re reviewing a wiring schematic for an assembly requested in a government tender. You notice a mismatch between the specified connector type and voltage rating. What would you do?
  • A supplier insists their product “meets or exceeds” the RFP requirements but won’t share detailed datasheets. How do you proceed?
  • You are assigned to contribute to a proposal due in 48 hours. The technical documentation from multiple suppliers is incomplete. What’s your immediate plan?
  • In Microsoft Excel, which function would you use to automatically highlight overdue RFQ responses?
  • You receive 100+ line BOM with mixed IT and mechanical components. Some part descriptions are ambiguous (e.g., “mounting kit - standard”). How would you approach this task?
