Technical Sales & Application Engineer - NDT / Eng. Solutions

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Sales & Application Engineer - NDT / Engineering Solutions who can combine strong technical knowledge with customer-facing sales capability. The role involves identifying customer needs, proposing suitable technical solutions, supporting pre-sales activities, and driving revenue growth through effective relationship management.

This position is ideal for engineers with hands-on exposure to NDT methods, testing technologies, engineering solutions, or industrial equipment, who enjoy working closely with clients and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories/industries
  • Promote company products, services, and technical solutions to clients
  • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and tender responses
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors

Application & Technical Support

  • Understand customer technical requirements and application challenges
  • Recommend appropriate NDT/testing/engineering solutions (equipment, services, software)
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept trials
  • Support pre-sales technical discussions and clarify specifications
  • Coordinate with engineering, R&D, and operations teams for solution delivery

Post-Sales & Customer Support

  • Support clients during project execution and initial implementation
  • Handle technical queries, troubleshooting, and optimization support
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account retention

Market & Product Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
  • Provide inputs to management on product improvement and new opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Materials / Engineering or related field
  • 3–8 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or pre-sales
  • Exposure to NDT methods (RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, MT, PT) or testing & inspection services is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, engineering solutions, or testing software is an advantage

Preferred Certifications (Advantage)

  • NDT Level II (RT / UT / PAUT / MT / PT)
  • ASNT / ISO 9712 / PCN
  • Any relevant OEM or product training
