Technical Sales Engineer – Marine Equipment

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related field
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is considered an added advantage

Preferred Certifications:

• Industry-specific Marine Certifications
• Certified Sales Professional CSP or equivalent Technical Sales Accreditation
• Health, Safety, and Environment HSE Certification
• Project Management Certification e.g., PMP, PRINCE2

Experience:
3–5 years of hands-on experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or business development within the industrial or marine equipment sectors.

• Strong technical understanding of marine systems including propulsion, navigation, communication, HVAC, and deck machinery
• Familiarity with shipbuilding processes, dry-docking operations, and marine logistics
• Proven ability to prepare and respond to technical proposals, RFQs, and tender submissions
• Proficient in reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and technical manuals in line with industry regulations
• Skilled in assessing client requirements and formulating tailored technical and commercial solutions
• Demonstrated excellence in time management, leadership, and interpersonal communication
• Strategic experience in sales planning, pipeline development, and customer acquisition
• Track record of penetrating new markets, closing high-value deals, and cultivating long-term client relationships
