Technical Specialist - SWIFT Payments & Sanctions with banking domain

We have an urgent requirement for Technical Specialist - SWIFT Payments & Sanctions with banking domain experience is required for one of our banking client in Dubai.

Strong experience on SWIFT Alliance Access / Entry, SWIFT MT & MX (ISO 20022) message flows, Sanctions Screening System Experience (Payments Compliance), UAE payment systems such as UAEFTS / RTGS / IPP / WPS.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and maintain SWIFT payment systems (SWIFT Alliance Access/Entry, SWIFTNet).
• Monitor and troubleshoot SWIFT message flows (MT/MX) to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Integrate and support sanctions screening systems (e.g., Fircosoft, Actimize, Accuity, or similar).
• Support and manage UAE payment systems such as UAEFTS, RTGS, IPP, and WPS (where applicable).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including AML, sanctions, and UAE Central Bank regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Payments, Compliance, Operations, IT) to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and certificate renewals for SWIFT infrastructure.
• Support testing activities for new payment products, regulatory changes, and system upgrades.
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and incident reports.
• Participate in audits and provide required technical support and evidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands on experience with SWIFT payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (MT, MX, ISO 20022).
• Proven experience working with sanctions screening systems and payment compliance controls.
• Solid understanding of cross border and domestic payment workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
