The Middle East Region is seekin g a Technical Superintende nt to be based in Qat

ar.As a Technical Superintendent you are responsible for the technical operational deployment, maintenance and docking of vessels. In close cooperation with the international crew on board you will ensure that the vessels are in an excellent technical and maintenance state to ensure the continuity of service to our clie

nt.You report to the Contract Manager with a functional line to the Group Technical Manag

er.Responsibiliti

• es:Coordinate and carry out maintenance work on board and monitor quality standar
• ds.Planning, organizing, supervising repairs, inspections and dockings and the preparation of final technical and financial repor
• ts.1st point of contact for the international crew in case of technical questions or defec
• ts.Supervising and providing technical advice and support to the Chief Engineers on boa
• rd.Instructing and monitoring the maintenance progress and quality on board via the PM System (MARA
• D).Investigating and analyzing technical defects and taking preventive and corrective measures in a timely mann
• er.Conducting inspections and guiding surveys on board by external parti
• es.Drawing up and monitoring maintenance budge
• ts.Approve purchase orders and monitor / follow up on goods receiv
• ed.Liaise with suppliers, classification societies and other external parti
• es.Monitoring and updating of ship certificates and technical documen
• ts.Handling of damage reports and clai
• ms.Regular visits to vessels offshore for technical inspections and problem solvi

Qualificat

ions
To be successful in this position you will have the follo

• wing:A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Maritime engineering or Naval Enginee
• ring.4 - 6 years of experience in a similar role / experience as Chief Engineer is requ
• ired.International work experience, preferably gained in the Middle
• East.Excellent managerial and Project Management sk
• ills.Team player with a collaborative approach, maintaining high standards and good work et
