Key Responsibilities

Daily Vessel Operations

• Monitor and support day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels to ensure smooth functioning.

Compliance & Surveys

• Make sure all statutory (flag state) and classification society surveys for equipment, machinery, and systems are completed on time.

Audits & Safety Management System (SMS)

• Conduct audits of company offices and ships to ensure adherence to the Safety Management System.

Incident Investigation

• Investigate machinery failures, technical breakdowns, and handle insurance claims for damages.

Inspections & Reporting

• Perform vessel technical inspections, prepare detailed reports in the company’s standard format, and submit findings to the VP–Technical.

Candidate Profile:

Ex-Chief Engineer with 2–3 years of sailing experience at senior rank.

B.Tech / M.Tech in Marine Engineering or related field.

Strong technical, auditing, and reporting skills.

Fluent in English.
