Technical Support Specialist – ERP / POS Systems

Job Description – IT Support & Installation Technician

We are looking for an experienced and dependable IT Support & Installation Technician to join our team in the UAE. The role involves installing and supporting software and hardware solutions, handling customer technical issues, and visiting client sites when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and set up POS systems, accounting software, printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and related equipment.
  • Provide technical support to customers remotely and on-site.
  • Identify and solve software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Configure routers, internet connections, and local networks.
  • Train customers on how to use the systems after installation.
  • Carry out maintenance visits and follow up with customers when needed.
  • Keep records of installations, support cases, and technical work completed.
  • Work closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT support, installations, or a similar technical role.
  • Good communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Valid UAE driving license is required.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, Windows operating systems, printers, and POS devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits when required.
  • Well organized, responsible, and ready to learn.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server.
