Rapiscan is an industry leader in detection technology, providing cargo and vehicle inspection systems and services for ports, borders, military, high threat facilities, and checkpoints to help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud. We offer a broad array of scanning system configurations that leverage low, medium, and high energy X ray technology-or multiple X ray technologies-to address each customer's unique security application requirements.

Role Overview

Primary function is to deliver technical operator and service training to customers, distributors, and company service personnel. The position will encompass training on a wide variety of Rapiscan products and technology and will consist of both formal classroom and hands on training. This position will be based in Cairo, Egypt, or Saudi, with a focus on training in Saudi and other multiple locations in the UAE and EMEA. The role may also require additional training assignments globally. The candidate must be able to speak English and Arabic; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate knowledge of Rapiscan products and technology to ensure high quality knowledge transfer to students.
  • Review and provide edits or updates on user manuals, training presentations, and other related documentation.
  • Maintain training records, student feedback, and required administrative information. Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Work in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate project management and presentation skills, and resolve complex problems and issues. Build rapport, listen, and deliver effective training programs.
  • Provide continuous feedback on areas of improvement, customer requests, and observations.
  • Ensure passport and visas are current to travel to other countries.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years delivering technical training in a formal classroom and hands on environment.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective hands on learning.
  • Ability to travel globally to conduct training and gain product knowledge.
  • Responsibility to report quality problems or defects to management for corrective action.
  • Acceptance that duties may be modified or assigned at any time.
  • Ability to work across different time zones, including late night and early morning meetings (15% of time). Domestic travel required (5% of time). Must travel internationally and acquire necessary documents.
