The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Technical Writer who will be responsible for generating innovative content ideas while working independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position will research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
As a Technical Writer for Enterprise Software R&D Unit, you will be part of the respective local department and report to the R&D Team Manager.
How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for creating and updating product documentation and descriptions without oversight.

Cooperate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers, and other Technical Writers.

You will speak with development teams to clarify feature details and specifications.

You will be responsible for taking the lead in documentation projects.

You will share your knowledge with other team members.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

Bachelor's degree or higher in technical writing, English, communications, or a related area of study

Required at least 0-3+ years in a similar role with some experience of writing for technical audiences.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English.

Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English (Microsoft Manual of Style or the AP Stylebook) or STE.

Experience with technical writing tools (Madcap Flare), content management systems, source control systems (Git), Jira, and Confluence is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to understand the technical specifications of each product and write in a concise manner.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
