About the Role

Lootah BCGas is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Gas Technician to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and repair of gas systems and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of gas pipelines, valves, regulators, gas detection systems, and associated equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on gas systems and instrumentation.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Respond to emergency call-outs, gas leaks, and equipment malfunctions while following established safety procedures.
• Conduct testing, calibration, commissioning, activation, decommissioning, and disconnection of gas systems.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and control panel logic.
• Perform minor wiring modifications and relay logic adjustments related to gas control systems.
• Interface and troubleshoot gas control panels, fire alarm panels, and related safety systems.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools, testing instruments, and equipment used in gas operations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, maintenance records, and work orders.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians to complete maintenance and project activities efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance of gas industry equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience in Natural Gas and/or LPG systems is mandatory.
• Understanding of gas detection systems, control panels, instrumentation, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices related to gas systems.
• UAE driving license is a must
