About the Role

The Technician 2 – HVAC (Maintenance) is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of HVAC systems within the facility. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting heat exchangers, pumps, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, exhaust, and ventilation systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation. The technician will support the facilities team in sustaining a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for guests and colleagues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of HVAC equipment including heat exchangers, pumps, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans, and duct systems.
Troubleshoot and rectify faults in chilled water distribution, pump operation, and air-side systems.
Conduct operational checks on pressurization units, expansion vessels, and associated controls.
Ensure compliance with facility safety procedures and permit-to-work systems during all activities.
Record maintenance activities in logbooks and report abnormalities to supervisors.
Support energy-saving initiatives by monitoring system performance and suggesting improvements.
Coordinate with other MEP trades during planned shutdowns and maintenance tasks.
Respond to breakdown calls quickly to minimize downtime of HVAC systems.
Maintain housekeeping of plant rooms, pump rooms, and work areas.
Follow PPM schedules and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance standards.

About You

Qualification: ITI/Diploma in HVAC or equivalent technical course.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance.
Strong knowledge of heat exchangers, chilled water pumps, FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, and ventilation systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, O&M manuals, and schematics.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong troubleshooting, rectification, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to work under pressure.
