To ensure the mobilized assets in EKFC operate smoothly to ensure business continuity by constantly seeking ways to improve performance at minimal operating costs in compliance with all required safety standards, legal and government regulations.
The jobholder will execute the scheduled general inspection of the operational fleet, identify potential technical issues, propose and follow-up the corrective and preventive measures. The jobholder will work with senior technician in executing technical recalls, perform final inspections on outsourced jobs, attends and recovers the breakdowns reported within EKFC premises 24/7.
1.Perform regular safety inspections on the operational fleet, identify potential issues, recommend and follow-up on corrective and preventive measures to ensure fleet is always fit for Operational use.
2.Diagnose and execute repairs/breakdowns/inspections on a wide range of EKFC fleet and equipment, using hand and power tools skillfully and safely in accordance with the guidelines, SLAs and budget constraints to ensure availability of healthy fleet for Operational purpose.
3.Address assigned breakdown notifications from the maintenance control center and escalate issues in a timely manner by prioritizing maintenance based on the priority matrix to ensure retrieval of the grounded fleet in a cost-effective manner.
4.Report any shortages of spare parts inventory and supplies to the Maintenance Planner - Fleet in accordance with maintenance requirements to ensure minimum inventory levels are maintained consistently.
5.Regularly inspect and maintain the tools and equipment in the workshop to ensure that the mechanic tool kits are in working condition through tool calibration records.
Work with the Senior Technician when required by understanding the equipment repair, spare parts manuals, schematic diagrams and repair instructions to perform the repair and maintenance of the fleet.
EKFC has a mixed fleet of catering Hi-loader fleet which includes aging to brand new vehicle fleet. It is mandatory that the jobholder is required maintain stringent quality and safety standards through execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs/breakdowns and inspections in a safe manner to ensure availability of healthy fleet for Operational purpose to avoid financial loss and unplanned downtime of the Hi-loader/equipment.
The role is also responsible to identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve greater efficiencies.
Education Qualification:
a)High School Certificate Qualification or equivalent qualification (must have).
b)ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certification in Diesel Mechanic/Fitter/Auto Electrician or equivalent qualification (must have)
Work Experience:
a) Minimum 3 yrs. experience in similar role in ground support equipment workshops/organizations in the field of vehicle /Ground support equipment maintenance
b) Knowledge and technical expertise of Mechanical, auto electrical, Vehicle instrumentation, Automobile Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration systems, Welding and Fabrication.
c)Knowledge of methods and techniques of performing basic diagnostic troubleshooting services.
d)Operations, services and activities of a fleet maintenance and repair program.
Skills:
a) Able to understand written and spoken English.
Trained in First Aid, Safety/ basic firefighting (preferred).
