Job Purpose:
To perform periodic maintenance and general repairs on customer vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools, working on electrical, mechatronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems across a wide range of automotive models, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Financials
Achieve set targets for sold hours, efficiency, productivity, and overall utilisation
Strategic Implementation
Receive repair orders from the Team Leader and understand the scope of work
Perform periodic maintenance and general repairs as per the scope of work using diagnostic tools and standard service procedures
Record additional repairs and recommendations using the E-Estimate digital app and update the Team Leader accordingly
Demonstrate manual dexterity, technical, mechanical, and advanced computer skills
Take ownership of all aspects of the role, working independently and demonstrating effective self-management
Read and interpret complex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams
Follow quality control inspections to prevent or correct faulty workmanship below standard
Maintain a clean work area and ensure both personal and shop tools are in proper condition
Customer Journey
Ensure full compliance with F1 standards and company guidelines
Handle customer vehicles with the utmost care and in a safe manner
Learning & Growth
Participate in Training Needs Assessments conducted by the training academy
Develop technical skills through automotive training programmes
Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Governance
Perform authorised repairs as agreed and consult the Team Leader for additional guidance
For warranty repairs, follow SOPs and guidelines, tag replaced parts with warranty tags, and hand over to the centralised warranty store
Ensure compliance with automotive standards and process guidelines
Strictly adhere to HSE protocols and requirements, including the use of safety gear (personal, equipment, and customer vehicle safety)
Educational Qualifications
2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate) or 3-year Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership, with at least 2 years as a technician
Competencies
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow procedures, demonstrate attention to detail, and work independently
Excellent communication skills in English
Languages:
English proficiency required
