Technician – Smoke & Ventilation Systems

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Smoke & Ventilation Systems Technician to install, test, and maintain smoke control and mechanical ventilation systems in compliance with fire and life-safety standards. The technician will carry out installation of fans, dampers, ductwork, control panels, sensors, and fire-rated cabling as per approved drawings and specifications.

The role includes supporting testing, balancing, and commissioning activities by checking fan operation, airflow, pressure, and damper functionality. The technician will identify and report faults or non-conformities and assist in troubleshooting site installation issues.

The technician will coordinate with HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and civil teams to ensure smooth site execution and avoid clashes. Strict adherence to site safety rules, PPE usage, and permit-to-work procedures is required at all times.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire & Safety Technology
• 2–4 years of experience in HVAC or fire-fighting system installation
• Knowledge of smoke control and ventilation systems
• Ability to read basic mechanical and electrical drawings
• Good troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills
