Job Summary:

AMEC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Techno-Commercial Electrical Engineer to support its technical and commercial operations from its Sharjah office. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical project execution and commercial management, handling customer communications, preparing proposals, sourcing materials, coordinating technical documentation, and supporting ISO QMS and billing processes. This role is office-based but involves extensive coordination with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Proposal Management:

§ Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails and technical enquiries.

§ Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, quotations, technical clarifications, method statements, SOPs, and related documents.

§ Assist in project document preparation, including reports, presentations, and techno-commercial correspondence.

Technical & Procurement Coordination:

§ Source electrical spares, materials, and instruments from local and international suppliers.

§ Coordinate with vendors for quotations, technical clarifications, and delivery commitments.

§ Maintain and update technical documentation, project files, and supplier databases.

Project & Data Management:

§ Maintain accurate records of project execution, procurement activities, client communications, and associated documentation.

§ Update and manage equipment calibration records and coordinate with calibration labs and internal technical teams.

§ Prepare and update Safety and QHSE documentation in coordination with the QHSE team.

§ Ensure strict adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and confidentiality protocols.

Administrative & Office Support:

§ Provide administrative and technical support to the Technical Managers and General Manager as required.

§ Maintain a professional and efficient office environment, coordinating logistics and internal resources.

§ Liaise with internal departments (Accounts, Stores, Logistics, Site Teams) to align on project and material movement.

§ Handle daily email communications on behalf of self and assigned managers, ensuring timely replies and follow-ups.

Quality & Billing Coordination:

§ Support the ISO QMS team with documentation for ISO 9001, 18001, and 45001 audits and internal compliance.

§ Assist in reconciling delivery notes with billed and unbilled invoices and ensure records are aligned with accounts.

§ Escalate and share unbilled delivery note details with the concerned teams for timely invoicing.

Qualifications & Skills:

§ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

§ 3–5 years of relevant experience in a techno-commercial or engineering coordination role.

§ Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment, spares, transformers, and related services.

§ Proven experience in technical documentation, proposal preparation, and procurement.

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

§ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of ERP or procurement software is a plus.

§ Working knowledge of ISO QMS documentation (9001, 18001, 45001) is an advantage.

§ Strong organizational and multitasking ability, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.

§ Office-based role in Sharjah, with coordination responsibilities across multiple departments and sites.

§ Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended availability during audits, project deadlines, or urgent coordination needs.
