Reports to: Teen/Youth Director

FLSA Status: Part-time position with potential for full-time employment based on organizational needs and performance

About the Role

The Identity Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operations support to the Teen Ministry. This role keeps everything running smoothly—assisting with planning events, supporting leaders, connecting with families, and making sure teens feel seen, valued, and inspired. You’ll blend organization with creativity, structure with energy, and administration with heart.

What You’ll Do

Administrative Coordination

  • Answers, screens, and forwards any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
  • Greets and directs visitors in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner while exemplifying the culture of New Life Southeast in all interactions.
  • Monitor general email and voicemail boxes for the Teen/Youth Division.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly. Direct and refer to appropriate individuals. Follow up as required.
  • Schedule and confirm meeting &/event space within the New Life campus for ministry requests.
  • Submit check requests and orders for approvals and payments.
  • Create presentations
  • Order and maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Perform various administrative tasks in support of the Identity Director and youth leadership within this division.
  • Assist with special projects

Connect the Dots

  • Assist in building bridges between teens, families, schools, and the wider community.
  • Assist in keeping parents in the loop and strengthening relationships that support teen success.

Keep Things Running

  • Manage program calendars, budgets, and resources with excellence.
  • Ensure programs are safe, inclusive, and aligned with our mission.
  • Help design and organize programs that meet teens where they are—academically, socially, and spiritually.
  • Make sure events, retreats, and weekly gatherings are meaningful, fun, and wellexecuted.
  • All Other Duties As Assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for walking alongside teens in an urban setting.
  • 2+ years of youth work, ministry, education, or nonprofit experience.
  • Strong organizational skills (you love a good checklist but can flex when plans change).
  • Great communicator with teens, parents, and partners alike.
  • Flexible schedule, including Sundays (required), some evenings, and weekends for events.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Pages, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Work well independently and in a team with a positive attitude, professional presence, and exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate openness to new challenges and opportunities and continuous learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; exhibits tact, professional attitude, maturity, and flexibility.

Education:

  • High school Diploma; Assoc. degree or greater is highly preferred.
