Telecom Network Sourcing Specialist – Transport & Transmission

We are seeking a procurement professional with strong experience in network sourcing to support end-to-end category management activities within a telecom environment. The role requires hands-on expertise in sourcing and procurement across RAN, Core, Passive Infrastructure, Transport, and Transmission domains, ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and strategic supplier engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of category sourcing strategies in alignment with organizational frameworks and demand planning.
  • Manage end-to-end RFx processes, including supplier identification, market analysis, evaluation, negotiation support, and award recommendations.
  • Prepare and review Scope of Work (SoW) and business requirements in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives by challenging supplier pricing and improving overall category performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, Delegation of Authority (DoA), and documentation standards.
  • Liaise with supplier performance and contract management teams to facilitate contract finalization and vendor onboarding.
  • Monitor category savings, vendor performance, and prepare periodic and ad-hoc sourcing reports.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and cross-functional collaboration to remove sourcing bottlenecks and enhance processes.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, with mandatory exposure to telecom network sourcing (RAN, Core, Passive Infra, Transport, Transmission).
  • Experience managing sourcing calendars, vendor evaluation, and negotiation processes.
  • Strong understanding of telecom vendors, pricing models, and market dynamics.
  • Experience working in medium to large organizations handling category sourcing.
  • Proficiency in SAP, ARIBA, Oracle, or other major ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (Telecom Engineering background is advantageous).
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP or PSM are a plus.
