The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Department of Student Engagement is recruiting for a Temporary Digital Content Specialist. If you have a passion for designing digital and print media, along with knowledge and interest in social media management, then we invite you to apply!
The Temporary Digital Content Specialist will work within the UAA Department of Student Engagement which is a part of the Department of Student Affairs. In this position you will design digital and print media, coordinating with staff on project requirements and delivering on deadlines. Additionally you will work with our team on social media management with tasks such as a content calendar highlighting events, campaigns, and organizational priorities, and monitoring engagement and adjusting strategies based on analytics.
To thrive in this role a successful applicant would have experience with video editing tools such as Premier Pro, Instagram Edits, CapCut, etc. They would also be familiar with analytics tools and metrics tracking. Have the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, while understanding accessibility standards in digital and print design. Some key skills that would help in this position would be creativity and strong visual storytelling, time management and organization skills. Consistency in brand voice and visual identity, adaptability and willingness to learn, and skills in collaboration and communication.

This is a part time, temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience. 30 hours average per week.
This position is a hybrid work position, allowing work from home. Printing, when needed based on projects, must be done in person on campus.
