Temporary Payroll Associate

Human Resources and Payroll staff act as a point of contact for employee questions and ensure that our company is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. The Payroll Associate is vital to ensuring that our employees are paid correctly, on time, and that all payroll issues are resolved as quickly as possible. As an employee of Farrell Roofing, the occupant of this role will be committed to our values of safety, quality, happy customer, and on budget.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

• Correcting incorrect checks in ADP.
• Doing the weekly payroll in ADP, insuring all employees are correctly paid.
• Making travel pay entries in ADP for all jobs with workers outside of their home union jurisdiction and prevailing wage projects.
• Distribution and creation of certified payroll reports.
• Entering time sheet information into ADP as needed.
• Respond to employee questions and inquiries, especially inquiries from employees who are traveling.
• Explaining tax implications of traveling to employees who are preparing to travel
• Sending the appropriate comparison chart to foremen and employees who are traveling. Before they leave for a project outside of their local jurisdiction.
• Weekly apprentice ratio review and up-pays.
• Department of Labor monthly payroll surveys.
• Updating the current travelers list when a new employee is travelling outside of their jurisdiction.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
