Essential Job Duties

Temporary employee will be part of the cotton breeding and genetics research team.

Duties include:

Making crosses in the field
Selfing cotton flowers in the field
Harvesting, ginning and acid delinting cotton samples
Seed preparation for storage
Planting and helping to grow plants in the greenhouse and fields
Perform day-to-day activities of greenhouse care and maintenance
Assist post docs, grad students and research specialist while collecting phenotypic data and tissue samples from the greenhouses and cotton fields
Perform lab based analyses including DNA isolation
